Electrical· Release 2.68
Electrical design software for cables, short circuit and protection.
The Electrical Design Bench takes a design from the load schedule and maximum demand to cables with derating and voltage drop, short circuit to IEC 60909, protection and discrimination with manufacturer curves, and arc flash to IEEE 1584-2018 — then checks a contractor's submission against the same calculations. ASH ELDAS brings the electrical benches together in one online product you can try for 30 days.
From the load schedule to the network study.
Concept, detailed design and design verification run on the same engines, so the schedule, the study and the review never disagree.
Load schedule & cables
Load schedule and maximum demand; cables with derating and voltage drop; busducts. Cable, busduct and termination schedules are built from the boards and circuits, with cumulative voltage drop — exported to Excel in one click.
Short circuit & protection
Short circuit (IEC 60909), protection and discrimination with manufacturer curves. In ELDAS the study network is built from the LV and MV tabs: load flow, short circuit, discrimination, motor starting and power quality.
MV protection grading
50/51 and 51N settings per device, operating times at 2, 5, 10 and 20 × Ip, CT class and burden.
Arc flash & life-safety supplies
Arc flash to IEEE 1584-2018; life-safety supplies; lighting; single-line and riser diagrams.
Earthing & lightning protection
Soil resistivity and electrodes, IEEE 80 substation grid (touch and step voltages), building and plant earthing, ICT clean earth, lightning protection to IEC 62305 and NFPA 780 with a roof plan.
Solar farm
EPW or monthly irradiance, energy yield and performance ratio, string sizing, DC cables and fuses, inverter count, step-up transformers and the MV collector.
Review the contractor's schedule
Paste a contractor's cable schedule: missing and extra cables, ratings, voltage drop with the scheduled length, cores, segregation and spares are re-checked line by line.
Boards, schedules, grading and studies — from one project.
Screens from the built-in example project of ASH ELDAS F3.4. Every figure carries the clause it was checked against.

Concept, detailed design, verification — the same engines throughout.
A concept scheme, the detailed design and the reviewer's check are run by the same code, so they never disagree with each other. Choose the stage when a project starts; develop a concept into the detailed design in one click.

Which codes and standards do the benches use?
The Saudi Building Code set (SBC 201, 301, 304 and 801) and the Saudi Civil Defence regulations, ACI 318 and ASCE 7, AISC 360-22, the International Codes (IBC, IPC, IMC, IFC), NFPA 13, 14, 20, 72, 92, 101 and 2001, NEC and IEC 60364 / 60909 for electrical, IEEE 1584 for arc flash, ASHRAE Fundamentals for HVAC, ASME B31.3, API 520, ISO 5167 and IEC 61511 for piping and instruments, IEC 62676-4 for CCTV, and QCS 2014 with the Qatar Civil Defence guidelines among others. Every check names its clause, and each requirement pack states the edition it quotes.
What is the difference between ASH ELDAS and the Electrical Design Bench?
ASH ELDAS F3.4 is the electrical-only product composed from the suite's electrical benches: eight tabs — Project, Electrical LV, MV, Lighting, ELV & ICT, Earthing & Lightning, Solar Farm and Studies — with one load register and a check register that rates a compliance statement. The Electrical Design Bench is the single-file bench inside the full Design Suite.
Can I bring in the contractor's schedules?
Yes. Import data in any bench reads Excel, CSV, pasted tables and DXF; the Data Import tool also reads schedules from text PDFs and traces single-line diagrams. Cable and instrument schedules can be checked line by line against the calculation.
Is my project data sent anywhere?
Your project never leaves your computer: the benches and ELDAS keep projects in the browser and in the files you save. The pages serve their own fonts; the trial applications still load their web fonts from Google Fonts. See the privacy notice.
Try ASH ELDAS for 30 days.
[email protected]The trial builds are time-limited, open at the design-review stage and watermark their reports. For a walk-through on a package of yours, or the full version: which bench, whether you design or review, and how many people would use it — we reply within one business day. Pricing is published after the company registration completes.
