Display options

Most display settings are in the View menu. The status bar buttons switch the same settings (In the app: Help ▸ Show me).

Grid

  1. Press F7, click GRID in the status bar, or choose View ▸ Grid.
  2. For spacing, type GRID and choose an option:
Option Meaning
ON / OFF Show or hide the grid
Spacing Distance between grid lines (on a layout, in paper millimetres)
Major Grid lines per major line, 1 to 100
Style Lines or Dots

Note

F9 (Snap to grid) is separate. It snaps the pointer to the grid; SNAP holds its settings.

Lineweights and transparency

Switching them off does not change the drawing, only how it is drawn.

Colours

  1. View ▸ Model space background: dark switches the model space between a dark and a light background. It applies whichever theme is on.
  2. View ▸ Dark theme darkens the menus and panels. The DARK button at the right of the status bar does the same (In the app: Help ▸ Show me).

Markups

View ▸ Show markups hides or shows review markups without deleting them. See markup review.

LTSCALE

If dashed lines look too tight or too loose:

  1. Type LTSCALE (LTS) and press Enter.
  2. Enter a number greater than 0. Press Enter alone to keep the current value.

Tip

Use REGEN if the display does not update after a change. See zoom and pan and drafting aids.
