Welcome to ASH Draw Studio
ASH Draw Studio is a free drawing viewer and editor for DXF and DWG files, for Windows. It works in a way that will feel familiar if you use AutoCAD: a command line with the usual commands and aliases, object snaps, layers, layouts and viewports.
Free and open
The program is released under the MIT licence by ASH Technical & Project Management Services (ASH PMCS). Download it from ashdesignsuite.com; the company site is ashpmcs.com. Help ▸ About shows the version and the licence notices.
DXF and DWG
- DXF files are read and written directly.
- DWG files are converted when you open them. The program includes the free LibreDWG converter. You can also install the free ODA File Converter from the Open Design Alliance: it opens drawings the built-in converter cannot read and adds saving to DWG (2000 to 2018). Everything else works without it. See DWG converter.
Works offline
The program does not need an internet connection. Your drawings stay on your computer.
