First steps

Open a drawing, find your way around, draw a line and save.

In the app: Help ▸ Guided tours

1. Open a drawing
   Open the File menu, choose Open… and pick a DWG or DXF file.
2. Zoom to fit
   Click Zoom to fit to see the whole drawing. You can also turn the mouse wheel to zoom, or drag with the middle button to pan.
3. The command line
   Click here, type L and press Enter. Every tool has a short command like this.
4. Draw a line
   Choose the Line tool (or use the command you just typed). Click two points in the drawing, then press Enter to finish.
5. Object snap
   SNAP makes the cursor jump to ends, midpoints and centres. Click it, or press F3, to switch it on or off.
6. Save your work
   Open the File menu and choose Save, or press Ctrl+S.
7. Help
   Open the Help menu to read what the program can and cannot do, check the converter log, or see the About box.
