First steps

Open a PDF, find your way around, add some text and save it.

In the app: Help ▸ Guided tours

  1. Open a PDF
    Click Open and choose a PDF from your computer (Ctrl+O). You can also drop a file onto the window.
  2. Change page
    Type a page number in this box and press Enter to jump to it. The arrows beside it move one page at a time.
  3. Zoom in or out
    Pick a zoom level from this list, such as Fit width. The minus and plus buttons next to it zoom step by step.
  4. See every page
    Open the sidebar and use the Thumbnails tab to see small pictures of all the pages. Click one to go to that page.
  5. Choose the Text tool
    Click the Text tool, or press T.
  6. Type on the page
    Click on the page where the text should go and type something. Press Ctrl+Enter when you have finished.
  7. Save your work
    Click Save to keep your text in the file (Ctrl+S).
  8. Help is always here
    Open the Help menu, or press F1, to read the user guide and start another tour.
